September's book will be "The Alchemist" by Paulo Coelho. (Be warned that there is another book entitled "The Alchemyst", and this book is not the one that we are reading, The most obvious difference--besides the author--is the spelling of the title.) It is a relatevely short read, with only 196 pages. If anyone has a copy of this book, and is willing to share, please post that information here.
We will be meeting at Echo's house at our regular time of 8:30pm. Treats will be provided by Trulee, Melanie, and June. Sharla will be leading the discussion. If anyone has any conflicts with this, please get in contact with me as soon as possible.
August's meeting was good--and it appears that nearly everyone enjoyed the book. A few of you asked if the Author is still doing speaking engagements, and to the best of my knowledge, he still is.
I think that this will be a good place to discuss the books during the month. If anyone has any questions or comments about the book, please post them here. This will also be helpful to the person that is leading the discussion. They can reserch the questions that might have, and know what the group is thinking.
Happy reading this month!!

Dena... Yes I got an email with inklingsbookclun -- not club on it -- so you might want to change the link in the email you sent -- another typing error...hehehehe... Yes... Loving the website since I'm prone to losing papers -- I throw everything away -- my petpeeve is hoarding...so this gives me a chance to view on the website what I'm suppossed to be reading... if anyone has the alchemist that they would allow me to borrow -- that would be awesome... or I'll try the local library.... Thanks Janette
Has anyone read The Red Tent by Anita Diamant? I've heard rumors and am curious.
I have heard that "The Red Tent" is good. Have you read it Prec? My mom didn't like it, but it really didn't sound like her kind of story. If you want to check it out, I will put it on the list for 2010.
